It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Edward Hopton announces his passing on August 27, 2023, at the age of 60. Born on February 28, 1963, in Kodiak, Alaska, Frank was the son of Senior Chief Petty Officer, Francis Hopton, USN, Ret. and Margret(Ochs) Hopton. Frank moved to Warwick, Rhode Island, in 1970 where the family settled, and he grew up. He was a longtime resident of Little Compton, Rhode Island.
Frank was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Bristol. Throughout his life, he upheld core values of faith, family, and character. He was an extraordinary man who dedicated his life to the well-being and happiness of his family, friends, employees, and clients.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at a young age, proudly serving on the U.S.S. Ranger. His military service was a significant chapter in his life, where he found his Christian faith and fell in love with his future wife, Monica Hopton.
After his time in the Navy, Frank graduated from the University of Rhode Island and built a successful career as a Bed and Breakfast Owner. An entrepreneur at heart,Frank moved into the Home Inspection industry and founded Hearthstone Home Inspections, Inc.,known for its dedication to its clients and good relationships with realtors. Frank's interpersonal skills were unique; he made it a point to not only meet but exceed the expectations of everyone he worked with, earning him a reputation for excellence and integrity.
An outdoors enthusiast, Frank enjoyed biking and paddle boarding in Little Compton. His love for reading reflected his insatiable desire to grow and develop. He was also an avid traveler, relishing vacations in and out of the United States. Most importantly, he loved spending quality time with his family, especially with his four grandsons whom he cherished.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Monica, and his children, Jared, Neal, Luke, Jacob, and Karina. He also leaves behind his parents, Francis and Margret Hopton, and his sisters, Julie and Jeannie.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the condolences and support they have received. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 2nd, at First Baptist Church in Bristol to celebrate Frank's life and the enduring impact he has had on those fortunate enough to have known him.
Frank Edward Hopton was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be sorely missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
