JONATHAN P. SOUZA

Jonathan P. Souza, 61, of Tiverton, RI passed away on August 23, 2024.  He was the husband of Susan E. Souza.  Jonathan was the son of the late Edward and Rosalie (Chaves) Souza. He was a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Little Compton.

Jonathan was a skilled contractor/carpenter who began working at Compton Construction and subsequently opened his own business, Cornerstone Carpentry, where he continued to work until his death. 

He enjoyed helping people and gave generously of his time and talent. Jonathan loved good food and going out to eat as well as attending concerts at the Narrows in Fall River. Jonathan was a true animal lover. He recently returned from his second African safari with his wife.

Jon is survived by his wife of 19 years, Susan E. Souza: his siblings: Stephen Souza and wife Susan of Little Compton, RI., Mary-bethSouza of Washington, D.C. and Little Compton, RI and sister in law,Carolyn Souza. He was predeceased by his brother Edward R. Souza of Tiverton, RI. Jon was an uncle, great-uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend to many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 9:30 AM, Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 74 Simmons Road, Little Compton, RI followed by interment in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, South of Commons Road, Little Compton.Please go directly to church the day of the funeral! Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7PM, Fern Acres Funeral Home, 72 Willow Avenue, Little Compton.
