WILLIAM “Billy” ARRUDA

William “Billy” Arruda 66 of Tiverton, born on Valentine’s Day 1958 to Manual Arruda Jr. and Helen Louise Armstrong Arruda passed peacefully on December 20, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.

He grew up in Little Compton, a town that always held a special place in his heart.

He attended Wilbur and McMahon elementary school, Portsmouth High School and Roger’s High School.

He believed in hard work and excelled in carpentry and auto mechanics.

He treasured family and loved nothing more than being a girl dad to Shayna and Tiffany.  He worked to make the world better for them.

He loved fishing, hunting, muscle cars, taking joy rides to the beach, exploring special spots in Vermont on his ATV and spending time with Deb in Vermont.

He valued friendships, young and old and was known to share a saying, a story or a joke he heard from the “old” timers.  His sense of humor is unforgettable.

He is survived by his life partner Deborah Nolan, his daughters Shayna Janah of Cumberland, RI, Tiffany Faria and her husband David Faria of Tiverton, RI, Debs daughter Rebecca Nolan and her fiancé Peter Lourenco of Fall River, MA, his sisters Helen Louise Arruda of Taunton, MA, and Catherine Vargas of Portsmouth, RI.  He also leaves 6 grandchildren whom he adored, Makayla, Carly, Luke, Sabrina, Reid and Zayne.  He was pre deceased by his sister Patricia Arruda.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8, 2025, 12:00PM - 3:00PM, at the VFW, 134 Shove Street, Tiverton, RI 02878.
